From 1948-1950; Willys-Overland produced the Jeepster in an effort to move away from simply utilitarian vehicles and offer a fully-capable vehicle that would appeal to the passenger automobile market. Providing several standard high-level features that were options in competing models; Willys hoped to capture consumers attention a utilitarian vehicle that had a greater luxury feel. Though the Jeepster was well regarded by those who owned them; little advertising and a limited dealer network led to the vehicle being phased out after the 1950 model year.

This '49 Jeepster, while it presents largely as it would have looked from the factory, has been tastefully modified to make it greatly more enjoyable to drive. On the exterior, the Nassau Cream paint, a quintessential Jeepster color, immediately grabs your attention. This Jeepster was provided a correct convertible top with side curtains, correct working gauges, dual side steps, new convertible boot cover, working turn signals and 5 whitewall radials with correct hubcaps.
