In 1964, Chevrolet launched the Chevelle, a model that would become one of the brand's most successful nameplates in its history. Released as an attempt to meet rising demand for smaller vehicles, Chevrolet offered the Chevelle in several body styles and appointments. Most notably, the Super Sport, or SS, trim level, was Chevrolet entry into the muscle car segment. In 1966, the SS396 became a series of its own, growing interest and demand in the model.

This true 138 VIN code 1966 Chevelle SS is the result of a frame-off restoration that included an intense focus on restoring the car to factory specs with a better-than-new appearance. The exterior is painted in factory correct Madeira Maroon and gleams against the car's fantastic brightwork. On the interior, the black bucket seats and impeccable. Post restoration, this car was stored in a climate controlled collection and it shows. Powered by a matching-numbers L35 396ci/325hp V8 tied to a Powerglide automatic transmission, this car is a joy to drive. An AACA National first-place winner in Junior, Senior and P1, this car is surely one of the nicest on the market today.

Unless otherwise stated, mileage shown on odometer is exempt and unknown if original.
